“A Ransom for many”

In Matthew 20, verses 25 through 28, Jesus says, “You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Jesus says this in response to the mother of James and John her sons sit on his right and left in Heaven. In his answer to her he makes it clear that though this world has rulers who misuse their authority by holding themselves above others, in the spiritual world the conduct is completely different, because it is based on love.

Jesus’ conduct on earth shows us the level of unconditional love that he feels for all of us. He came here and endured a life of austerity and deprivation to bring us the message of Salvation for our souls through repentance and forgiveness of sin. When we accept his offer of Salvation he becomes a spiritual authority for us and shows us the ways in which we need to change so that we can eliminate selfish and ego-based actions from our lives.

He wants to guide us once we accept his leadership, so that we don’t make mistakes that can endanger the life of our souls. As someone who resides in the world of the spirit, he knows the spiritual laws that we can’t really understand in the carnal world, and he wants to move us closer and closer to lives that are clean and pure.

When I interacted with him as the consciousness of the Sun while using a legal substance, he allowed me to feel the depth of unconditional love that he holds for all of us. It is a feeling that is impossible to put down in words, but the feeling of being enveloped in his love and purity and peace is something that changed my life forever. This is the true home of our souls, and he wants to allow all of us to be surrounded in his love and safety, if we will accept him into our lives and lead a life of obedience to his commandments to love God with all our hearts, love others as ourselves, and live a life of service to those who are less fortunate.
