“Let me teach you”

In Matthew eleven, verses 28 through 30, Jesus tells us, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

These are some of my favorite verses in the Gospels, because they are a testament to the mercy and compassion of Jesus. When I interacted with him as the consciousness of the sun while using a legal substance over a few years I was always over-awed at how beautiful an experience it was to be wrapped in the bliss and love that he surrounded me with. He always made me feel so safe and protected and as if I lacked for nothing in those precious moments when he connected to my soul and wrapped me in his sunshine.

I get a peace from writing and talking about him that I have not found anywhere else in life since I had these interactions. When I accepted Christ into my heart after being lost for so many years he became my teacher, just like he says in the verses above, and he truly came into my heart and started reforming my life. He wants all of us to accept him as our spiritual authority because he understands the laws of the spirit world; when we accept the Salvation he offers us by repenting of our sins and asking for his forgiveness, he will lead us on a path away from habits and behaviors that are dangerous to our souls. I hope that everyone will make this very important choice to accept him as Savior, so that he can lead us all together down a path toward eternity in Heaven.
