In John 10, verses 11 through 13, Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming. he will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him and he isn’t their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock. The hired hand runs away because he’s working only for the money and doesn’t really care about the sheep.”
These verses demonstrate so well Jesus’ love for all of us. He did not have to come here to earth to explain to us the way to have our souls purified by him. He did not have to confront the suffering that he went through, he could have refused. God did not have to surrender his child to human beings, to watch him suffer pain and torment.
The fact that both of these sacred beings undertook such incredible pain so that human beings could have an explicit explanation for how to attain spiritual purification and salvation demonstrates to us just how much they do love us and hope for only the best for our souls.
I did not understand about salvation or Christ’s suffering and death to this end until I interacted with Christ and God using a legal substance over a few years. It was then that I was shown the truth of the teachings in the Bible with regard to the threat that malevolent spiritual beings pose to beings on earth, and how Christ and God can save us from these dark forces and guide us down a path of salvation so that we are not in danger from them.
In one of these experiences right before I stopped using this substance I was shown a brief instant from the crucifixion of Christ. It was then that I understood that these things really did occur, and that Christ came to earth to tell human beings how to achieve spiritual salvation and his sacred protection, by repenting of our transgressions and asking his forgiveness, and accepting him into our lives to be our Savior.
When we allow him into our hearts and lives, we can begin a life of obedience to Christ and his teachings. With the guidance of Christ and God, we can walk a path that does not endanger our soul, so that we can be shepherded to the heavenly realms upon our passing.
