“He sent me to you”

In John chapter 7, verses 28 and 29, Jesus says, “Yes, you know me, and you know where I come from. But I’m not here on my own. The one who sent me is true, and you don’t know him. But I know him because I come from him, and he sent me to you.”

I think these are such beautiful verses; Jesus is speaking to a group of people who are questioning his identity as the Messiah, saying that when the Messiah comes he is supposed to appear out of nowhere and no one will know where he comes from.

Jesus responds by talking about how he is sent by God, and whenever I think about this I can’t help but think about what a painful choice this must have been for God to send his child into this world knowing that he would be so badly mistreated.

I interacted with Jesus as the consciousness of the Sun over several years while using a legal substance, and when I felt the love with which he always surrounded me it allowed me to understand just how he could come here and take on the suffering he endured to bring us the message of salvation through repentance and forgiveness of sin like he did.

And just as the verse in John 3:16 tells us, it was because of God’s love for us that he allowed this very thing to happen; even though it meant that he would have to watch his beloved child mistreated and executed for trying to bring the message to earth of the principles of spiritual purification. It shows us just how much Christ and God love all of us, that they wanted us to know how to have our souls purified and to attain spiritual salvation so badly that they both took on unspeakable pain in order to give us this precious gift.
