In Luke 23, we are told about the crucifixion of Jesus. In verse 34, while this is happening, Jesus prays to God, “Father forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”
When I read this verse tonight I thought about the Sacred Being, Jesus, that I encountered and interacted with while I was using a legal substance over a few years. I interacted with Jesus as the consciousness of the Sun, and he was radiant with beautiful light. He was wrapped me in his presence and made me feel a peace and warmth and tranquility that I had never felt before in my life.
I felt a depth of love during these experiences that I had never felt before in my life, and it was then that I understood how he could come to earth and love us so deeply as to commit to a fate of suffering and death such as this. He did this because he loves us with a love that is impossible for us to even comprehend as human beings.
I did not expect to have these interactions, and it astounded me that there is a being out there that loves all of us with such tremendous compassion and mercy and devotion. He wants for us to accept his love for us, and to accept the spiritual authority that he and God hold over us, so that he and God can guide and teach us how to live in a way that doesn’t injure our souls or hurt anyone else.
Jesus came here to bring us Salvation through repentance and forgiveness of sin, and to share his commandments for us to love one another as ourselves, and to love God with all of our hearts. He and God want for every being to ascend to the heavenly realms when we die, and they thought enough of us to have Jesus come here and personally instruct us on how to walk a path that will allow this to happen. I hope that everyone will accept the message of Salvation that Christ came here and suffered so much to bring to us.
