“The predictions of the prophets”

In Luke 18, verses 31 through 33, we are told that Jesus takes the twelve disciples aside and tells them, “Listen, we are going up to Jerusalem, where all the predictions of the prophets concerning the Son of Man will come true. He will be handed over to the Romans, and he will be mocked, treated shamefully, and spit upon. They will flog him with a whip and kill him, but on the third day he will rise again.”

The thing that moves me so deeply about these verses is that Jesus knew when he incarnated here on earth what his fate would be, but he did it anyway. He bravely marched forward through his life, knowing that what he was doing was so important to God and for all of us, that he met his fate with valor.

When I interacted with Christ over a few years while using a legal substance, he came to me as the consciousness of the Sun, and he surrounded me with unfathomable unconditional love, peace, and tranquility. I understood, finally, how it was that he was able to come to earth and to love us all so deeply as to endure what he did.

He and God both met unspeakable pain this instance, and they allowed it to happen because of the depth of their love for us. They felt that their message of Salvation through Christ, via repentance and forgiveness of sin, was something that needed to be delivered personally. Christ took the form of a human being and lived a human life in order to share with us that he can cleanse and purify our souls if we will accept him into our hearts. I hope that everyone will receive with gratitude this precious gift, that he suffered so much to bring to us.
