“Give it one more chance”

In Luke 13, verses 6 through 9, Jesus tells this story, “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. Finally he said to his gardener, ‘I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’ The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and fertilizer. If we get figs next year, fine. If not, then you can cut it down.”

This parable is great testimony to Jesus’ mercy on us. He is like the gardener waiting patiently for the fig tree to bloom; he is waiting for all of us to believe in him and come to him to accept spiritual purification through repentance and forgiveness of sin.

I interacted with Christ as the consciousness of the Sun over several years while using a legal substance. I was over-awed at the depth of unconditional love and compassion that I felt coming from him, and how he wants all of us to accept Salvation from him so that he can cleanse our souls of our transgressions.

He really wants to save us all from a terrible fate of falling into the hell realms and strengthening them army of malevolent actors there. He doesn’t want to lose even one of his flock, and he is waiting patiently, giving us chance after chance to accept his unconditional love. His light shines on all of us, and he wants us all to be a part of him. I hope everyone will accept the precious gift of Salvation that Christ offers to us.
