“Be full of joy”

In Philippians 4 verses 4 and 5, Paul writes, “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say again–rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.”

Paul says so much in these few short verses. He is careful to instruct his congregation that they are reflecting a life in Christ to anyone that observes them, so they need to reflect the joy that knowing Christ brings.

He wants them to be considerate of others as well, reflecting their obedience to Christ’s primary commandment to love others as ourselves. He knows that we have to mirror for other people the unfathomably deep unconditional love that Christ has shown to us, or they will not be drawn to his message.

When I interacted with Christ as the consciousness of the Sun over a few years while using a legal substance, I was always so deeply healed by the love he showed me, a love so vast and deep that I can’t adequately describe it in words. Christ wants every human being to know this love in this lifetime, while we are still incarnated as humans on this earth.

He came here to show us how to live lives that will allow him to lead us to heaven to be with him and God, and to do this we have to submit to his spiritual authority and live lives that reflect his glory, so others will be drawn to him through us. Paul is very cognizant in these verses, wanting everyone to know just how crucial it is that we reflect the love of Christ for all to see.
